Core Components and Process of HDPE/PP Waterstop Equipment
This equipment is specifically designed for the continuous production of HDPE/PE waterstops with specific cross-sectional shapes (such as dumbbell shape, embedded type, back-attached type, etc.).
Its core process flow and equipment functions are as follows:
Single-screw extruder: The core of the production line. It heats, melts, and plasticizes the mixed HDPE/PE material, continuously and stably feeding it into the die. For rubber, it functions as a hot feeder.
Hydraulic screen changer: At the extruder exit, a hydraulically powered screen is used to replace the filter without stopping the machine, removing impurities from the melt and ensuring the purity and continuity of the product material. This is crucial for the quality of waterproof materials.
Die: This is key to molding the specific cross-sectional shape of the waterstop. The die cavity directly determines whether the waterstop is embedded, back-attached, or has other complex structures. The die design must ensure uniform material flow, avoiding material shortages or uneven density.
Three-roll calender + roller temperature control system: This is a finishing and shaping station.
Three-roll calender: Calenders and levels the surface of the waterstop, which is still in a semi-molten state after exiting the die, eliminating die marks and achieving precise thickness control.
Roller Temperature Control System: Provides precise heating and cooling for the calendering rollers, ensuring stable process temperature and is crucial for guaranteeing surface quality and shaping effect.
Closing Device: This is a special auxiliary device used in the production of hollow waterstops. It creates hollow channels during extrusion by continuously inserting and extracting a core rope through the center of the waterstop or by using air pressure.
Cooling Support: Composed of multiple cooling conveyor belts or rollers, this device allows the shaped waterstop to cool fully, slowly, and evenly until completely solidified, preventing deformation, uneven shrinkage, or internal stress caused by excessively rapid cooling.
Traction Machine: Provides strong, smooth, and infinitely variable speed traction force, pulling the waterstop out of the die at a uniform speed. The traction speed must be strictly synchronized with the extrusion speed; otherwise, product dimensions will be unstable.
Cutting Machine: Automatically cuts the continuously produced waterstops to a preset length. It is usually equipped with a meter counter to ensure accurate length for each segment.
Rolling Device: Winds the cut waterstops into coils for easy packaging, transportation, and storage. For rigid or large-sized waterstops, a stacked plate device may also be used.

The core advantage of this waterstop equipment lies in its ability to professionally and efficiently produce high-performance waterstops with precise dimensions, reliable performance, and stable quality through a complete and controllable process chain of "stable extrusion, precision shaping, and controlled cooling," providing a fundamental guarantee for the structural safety and durability of various major construction projects.

Structural Design Expertise
The product boasts precise cross-sectional shape design, including features such as central holes, deformation grooves, and flanges; these structures form the foundation for its functionality.
Uniform and Dense Material
Through stable extrusion and plasticizing processes, the product is free of air bubbles and impurities, resulting in a uniform material composition.
Excellent Physical Properties
It possesses high elasticity, high tensile strength, and significant elongation.
High Durability, Lifespan Comparable to Buildings
High-quality raw materials and stable production processes endow the product with excellent anti-aging and corrosion resistance (resistant to acids, alkalis, salts, etc.), allowing its service life to match that of the concrete structure, requiring virtually no maintenance.
Convenient Construction and Wide Applications
The product is prefabricated in the factory; on-site installation is simple and quick. Its versatility makes it widely applicable in critical projects requiring permanent waterproofing of concrete joints, such as tunnels, dams, bridges, basements, and waterworks.
The core advantage of the waterstop produced by this equipment lies in its perfect integration of materials science, structural mechanics, and engineering requirements. It is not just a waterproof material, but also a "flexible joint" and "safety guardian" of concrete engineering. Through its reliable elastic deformation, it actively adapts to structural changes and provides the most fundamental and durable waterproof protection for major infrastructure.
